** Tier One **
(1) Tennessee Titans
** Tier Two **
(2) New England Patriots
(3) Houston Texans
(4) Pittsburgh Steelers
(5) Buffalo Bills
(6) Denver Broncos
(7) Cincinnati Bengals
(8) Las Vegas Raiders
(9) Los Angeles Chargers
** Tier Three **
(10) New York Jets
(11) Indianapolis Colts
** Tier Four **
(12) Miami Dolphins
(13) Cleveland Browns
** Tier Five **
(14) Kansas City Chiefs
** Tier Six **
(15) Jacksonville Jaguars
(16) Baltimore Ravens
(1) Tennessee Titans
- Comfortably ahead of the rest of the conference, Tennessee is a playoff lock for the third consecutive season
** Tier Two **
(2) New England Patriots
(3) Houston Texans
(4) Pittsburgh Steelers
(5) Buffalo Bills
(6) Denver Broncos
(7) Cincinnati Bengals
(8) Las Vegas Raiders
(9) Los Angeles Chargers
- The AFC's largest tier, a couple small moves could put any of these teams over the others // the gap between Tennessee (#1) & New England (#2) is larger than the gap between New England (#2) & Indianapolis (#10)
- Over the last couple days the Bills have shown just how quickly teams can improve, though, so teams could very easily improve (or regress) over the next two months // teams like Pittsburgh & Las Vegas, for example, still have draft capital available to move in 2023 & 2024
** Tier Three **
(10) New York Jets
(11) Indianapolis Colts
- The teams in this range are firmly outside of the bottom tiers but are 2+ moves away from being in the tier above with other playoff contenders (or need their rookies to produce right away)
** Tier Four **
(12) Miami Dolphins
(13) Cleveland Browns
- Weird tier with two completely opposite teams
- Miami should be in this spot with such a young team, but it would be no surprise if their players took a step forward this season and they jumped a tier (or two) without making any additional moves
- Cleveland has been pretty quiet this offseason and that has resulted in a lot of new holes on the roster, but could jump back into playoff contention with a couple Buffalo-esque moves
** Tier Five **
(14) Kansas City Chiefs
- Chiefs finally settling into a rebuild but have a few too many decent vets still to trade before bottoming out in the 6th tier
** Tier Six **
(15) Jacksonville Jaguars
(16) Baltimore Ravens
- Fun tier considering these two teams were the top two seeds in 2018 & 2019, and then faced off in the divisional round in 2020 -- now it's a race to see who can be worse
