Safe gap between these teams and the next tier, should be considered locks for the playoffs barring any major injuries
** Tier Two **
(3) Washington Commanders (4) Seattle Seahawks (5) Atlanta Falcons
Not necessarily playoff locks, but these three should all be in the mix for their division title at the end of the regular season // though we should still expect more moves from all of them before the regular season starts
** Tier Three **
(6) Green Bay Packers (7) Philadelphia Eagles (8) San Francisco 49ers (9) Dallas Cowboys (10) Los Angeles Rams (11) Arizona Cardinals
The NFC's largest tier, the order of these six could be completely flipped in a month // no one is a playoff lock, but everyone should be in the playoff / wildcard race
** Tier Four **
(12) Carolina Panthers (13) Detroit Lions
Each team improved this offseason but still are not quite in playoff contention // they are firmly ahead of the bottom three teams, though, and should jump into the playoff conversation with a couple additional moves
** Tier Five **
(14) New York Giants
They got closer, but the Giants are not quite bad enough yet to #BustForBijan // still have a lot of value to sell on the defensive side of the ball to bottom out in the NFC
** Tier Six **
(15) New Orleans Saints (16) Minnesota Vikings
The Saints just have so many holes & a couple of moves to fill those empty lineup spaces would immediately move them out of the bottom tiers
Vikings are very young and solid / improved seasons by rookies / second year players will keep them out of the very bottom of the standings in 2022
