Salary Cap Info + Rules:
- Salary Cap will be $100,000,000 for each team.
- No team is allowed to go over the cap at any time.
- Teams that start above the cap in the offseason must be under the cap at the start of the regular season.
- Teams that are over the salary cap may not trade for more cap. You can only cut cap, even if you are still over the cap limit after the transaction.
Free Agency Rules:
- The minimum contract that can be offered is $500,000 or $0.5M
- The minimum increase of a bid must be at least 0.1 CV
- If your leading bid stands for at least 24 hours, you are awarded the player
- You can bid on as many players as you want as long as you have sufficient cap and roster space
- The max number of years you can bid on a player is 4 years
Unrestricted Free Agency:
Free agents will be won using a bidding system. Contract Value Multiplier (CVM) is a system used to determine the amount of money offered per year to a player in free agency.
Contract Multiplier Length:
1 year - x1.0
2 years - x1.2
3 years - x1.4
4 years - x1.6
Restricted Free Agency:
During the offseason, teams may tender their RFAs or let them become UFAs. The team that owns the RFA player has the right to match the winning offer and retain the rights to the player. If the offer is not matched, the new team will acquire the player and must provide the original team with draft picks (where applicable) from the current year's draft as compensation.
A thread must be created for each player with one of the following tender amounts and compensation....
$500k --- 4th round draft pick
$1.00 -- 3rd round draft pick
$2.50 -- 2nd round draft pick.
$4M -- 1st round draft pick.
$5.50M -- 1st and 2nd round draft picks.
* Teams cannot tender a player if it takes them over the cap. Must clear space or use a lower tender.
* The comp pick will be the winning teams own pick (from current year's draft), if they do not have them it will be their lowest of that round(s).
* Restricted Free Agents will be won if a week goes by with no bids, or if 24 hours passes after a bid has been made.
* RFA Bidding follows same rules as UFA bidding. Highest bid wins if unbeaten for 24 hours.
* Once a player is won, tendering team will have 24 hours to decide if they will match or take comp pick.
* Teams may NOT bid on their own players.
* If a player receives no bids, the tendering team can sign that player from 1-3 years at the tender value.
